06 Jul What does it mean to be a Certified Photo Organiser?
I used to hate the standard socialising question “so, what do you do?” I hated that people might define me by the work I did and they would ‘put me in a box’ based on my profession. I also felt it was a lazy question given that it was likely they didn’t really care what I did and also I felt there was a lot more interesting things about me above and beyond what I did every day at work.
Now days attending lots of business networking events, it is the primary question I hear and I love to answer it. One thing that always piques people’s interest is telling them I am in the Storytelling Business and Australia’s First Certified Photo Organiser.
The Association of Personal Photo Organisers (APPO) was created to meet the need and solve the problem of photo management and with such an overwhelming need, APPO has grown to 600+ members worldwide. Remember we are the first Certified Members in Australia, and I love being the flag bearer for this exciting niche industry.
Because APPO is the voice of the Photo-Life Management Industry, all the top product and service providers collaborate with APPO, supplying their members with cutting-edge industry tools.
APPO Certified Photo Organisers receive the latest and greatest knowledge and training in the industry. The certification curriculum and testing ensures that only the best organisers in the industry are certified.
Here are just some of the topics we have covered in recent months:
