http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NH7_wlm-9nY The last few years the kids and I have taken part in Operation Christmas Child http://operationchristmaschild.org.au/ with our Play Group, we wanted the kids to learn that Christmas is about giving not receiving at a young age.  Thankfully they have embraced the idea of selecting thoughtful gifts for children less fortunate than them.

Stuff. Most of us simply have too much of it. We’re all aware of that. It's that time of year again . . . when millions of dollars are spent on items that the recipients simply don't want.  Unwanted gifts often end up cluttering up homes for years to come and sadly will eventually end up in landfill. But with relatives and kids and dear friends in need of thanks… how can you get through Christmas without buying small mountains of not-really-needed things?

Have I ever told you how much I love Pinterest?  Well I do (nearly as much as I love hubby – happy birthday handsome xxx)

Birthday boy is able to attest that a large number of my sentences start with “I saw this thing on Pinterest…” From a Professional Organiser’s point of view Pinterest is heavenly – you have the chance to “pin” ideas and things you love.  To quote from the about page of the site itself – “Pinterest is a tool for collecting and organizing things you love” (you can tell that is legit from the spelling).

I’d like you to meet THE HARDIES - I tried to get my family tree in one image but I needed a magnified glass to see it.

My mum is one of 11 kids, she has 5 brothers and 5 sisters. My grandmother passed on very early and when my pop passed on in 1975 he had eleven surviving children.  Today he has 139 living descendants…can you imagine our family reunion?! No imagination required …you can check back in with me next year as I am actually organising (there is that word again) a big reunion in April 2014; wish me luck.

Can you guess the top 3 things we hear when we tell people more about our services and what we do? "What a great idea...
  1. "I've been meaning to sort out my photos for months/years/ every school holidays etc"

  2. "I wish I had time to get it done"

  3. "I bought a scanner last year and only did one album"

I can name 2 friends who have bought scanners with intentions of scanning in old images, and they are just the ones I know about.
