For the record there is no recognised words for multiples higher than 4 but as photo organisers we certainly see our fair share of these when dealing with digital disaster zones.

It has happened to everyone. Yes even to us. You have all likely downloaded pictures multiple times from your camera or your phone.

The problem for most people is that those photos don’t always end up in the same place on your hard drive. Now you have twice (or more… our record is an octuplicate) as many pictures to deal with.

Having a duplicate finder software package installed on your computer can be a handy helper.

Please be sure to read the instructions and understand the settings. We recommend doing a full back up before you start any ‘organising’ project including de-duplicating in case of keystroke or other errors.

    Just before my father died (it was inevitable at this point), I was looking through their computer and was appalled at the number of duplicates they had. This was 7 years ago. I wish I had had these tools then! Now I’m a PhotoSweeper kind of gal.
